4th International Conference on Love and Relationship Studies March 5–7, 2027 | Virtual Conference
Building on the success of our previous annual conferences, the International Institute of Love and Relationship Studies is pleased to announce that planning is underway for our upcoming event. In response to growing interest from researchers, practitioners, and students worldwide, the 4th International Conference on Love and Relationship Studies will take place virtually from March 5–7, 2027.
Conference Overview & Scope
The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers, practitioners, students, and non-academic professionals from diverse disciplines to share research-based and practice-based knowledge. Multidisciplinary and international in scope, we welcome qualitative, quantitative, and theoretical methodologies from across academic fields.
We invite presentations examining love and love-related topics in all their varieties, including:
- Meanings, cultural models, and social forms
- Individual types, internal experiences, and expressions
- Interpersonal dynamics and relationship processes
Innovative Virtual Format
Following the successful model of our prior conferences, this virtual event combines pre-recorded presentations with live, thematic panel discussions hosted via Zoom. As always, we are committed to building on our traditions while continuously refining and improving our organizational format to maximize global accessibility.
The Virtual Format includes:
- Pre-recorded Presentations: Delivering high-quality, accessible scientific talks.
- Live Zoom Panel Sessions: Facilitating interactive, thematic discussions with presenters and attendees worldwide.
Main thematic sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM ET, serving as the core window for participants across the Americas, Europe, and Africa. To ensure global accessibility, we welcome requests for alternative session timings:
- Early Morning ET (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM ET): Fits evening hours in East Asia and Australasia (8:00 PM – 10:00 PM local time).
- Evening ET (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET): Fits morning hours in East Asia and Australia (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM next day).

Call for Proposals
On behalf of the Advisory Board, we invite researchers, practitioners, students, and non-academic professionals from any discipline to submit presentation proposals on a wide range of love and relationship topics. Submissions are welcomed across four distinct presentation categories—including literature reviews, empirical studies, and refreshed existing research—to foster meaningful interdisciplinary discussion
