Over the centuries, scholarship and studies of love have produced an enormous number of publications. In this regard, the 20th century was especially prolific. Researchers from a variety of academic disciplines have actively engaged in theoretical and empirical explorations of love and relationships across many cultures in the 21st century. This area of scholarship and practice is expanding in terms of the number and diversity of topics from truly international perspectives.
However, the scholarship and research on love from cultural and cross-cultural perspectives are still piecemeal, patchy, and scattered across a variety of publications and other media sources. They are difficult to search for and find. This is why the Institute of Love Studies administers international resources for love researchers across various disciplines.
Here are some of those resources:
In the Diversity of Love Journal, the International Institute of Love Studies regularly publishes articles about love and relationships across cultures. The articles present research-based knowledge on love, and they are posted monthly on a rolling basis.
On its YouTube channel, the Institute of Love Studies posts videos about love studies and love talks. We upload these videos on a rolling basis.
